Use E-Mail To Procure Great Items
No one likes to be turned down when requesting a donation. Fear of the word "No" prevents most of us from asking in the first place. E-mail is a fast, effective way to make a request while avoiding a visit or a phone call.
Successful e-mail procurement in FOUR easy steps
- Think of an item YOU would love to bid on. A trip to Disneyland? A fabulous dinner for 4 at a gourmet restaurant. Season theater tickets? An afternoon for 12 on a chartered sailboat?
- Search the Internet to identify companies that offer that product or service.
- Customize and send a procurement e-mail.
- If you don't get a response, customize and send the follow-up e-mail one week later.
When you get a "yes," simply send, fax or e-mail the procurement form to them. They can complete it and send it back with their donation. It's that easy!
