Many of us get nervous just thinking about public speaking but it is an activity that all students at Christ the King perform starting in Kindergarten crafting liturgies and culminating in 8th grade at Potlatch. Effective verbal communication is essential in our world of sound bites and spin. Speech Team offers students the opportunity to develop their public speaking skill in a fun and friendly environment. All middle school students are welcome to participate. This is a great way to learn a lifelong skill that will prepare any student for speaking comfortably in front of a large group while having fun.
In addition, each Catholic High School offers scholarship opportunities to eighth graders who place well in their tournament. These scholarship awards are applied toward tuition at the respective high school the student chooses.
The Christ the King Parent Club coordinates a variety of after-school programs for elementary and middle school students which have included sewing, wood working and chess club.
