Parent Club Mission

To make Christ the King School a better place for our children by increasing parental awareness and support of programs and activities aimed at improving the spiritual, academic and physical growth of our children.

Parent Club is an organization which is the expression of the partnership of parents, parishioners, faculty, principal and Priest, intended to reinforce and support the ideals of Catholic education and the continued well-being of children enrolled in the elementary school of Christ the King parish.

This Organization shall serve as a forum in which the rational for school policies, programs and procedures is presented to parents.

Parent Club Meetings

Parent Club host the PTA Meetings on the second Thursday of each month during the school year. The Head Room parent assigned to that monthly meeting (per the Parent Club Calendar) is to contact the Parent's Club president and let them know the refreshments are handled. Historically, these refreshments have been wine, coffee, tea, soda, seltzer, cookies, crackers, fruit, or cheese. The refreshments can be anything the assigned class chooses to host. Plan on serving about 25-35 people per meeting.

To Do:

  • The designated room parent needs to call the Parent's Club president a week ahead to check-in and see if there is anything special requested.
  • The room parent then coordinates and organizes coverage through initiation of the phone tree.
  • Room parent calls the Room Parent/Hospitality Coordinator to set up a time to get the key to the coffee supply cabinet in the Fitzgeralds Room.
  • The room parent and/or helpers need to be at the meeting at 6:45pm to assist in setting up and make the coffee.
  • The room parent and/or helpers cleans up the refreshments and returns supply cabinet key to the Hospitality Coordinator after the meeting or the next school day
