Mrs. Bayrd and Mrs. Watkins job share the 4th/5th multiage class. This will mean that Mrs. Bayrd will teach most Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while Mrs. Watkins will teach most Thursdays and Fridays. We will overlap on Wednesday afternoons. Of course, we will be in constant communication throughout the week about all matters related to our class.
Between the two of us, we have a wide variety of teaching experience, ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade. Mrs. Watkins taught for six years in the Everett School District, where she worked with 2/3rd graders, 3rd graders, and 5th graders. Last year she taught our 3/4 grade class with Mrs. Bayrd at Christ the King. She has a teaching certificate from the University of Washington and a Masters in Education from City University, with a specialization in using technology in the classroom. Mrs. Bayrd has taught for six years, one year in kindergarten, two in 6th grade, two in 4th grade, and one with 3rd/4th multiage. She has a teaching certificate and Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington.
